A Madrigala Celebration
Ring in the Holiday season with desserts, drinks and delight at
Illinois State University's Alumni Center! Performances run Fri.,
Dec. 7 through Sun., Dec. 9; desserts and drinks will begin at
7:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. on Dec. 9) followed by a traditional
Holiday performance from Illinois State University's Madrigal
Singers. Desserts catered by Biaggi's Ristorante and Kelly's
Bakery & Cafe with a cash bar.
Ticket prices are $12.50.
Reservation deadline is Fri., Nov. 30.
HEALTH SERVICES ACTIVITIES
Flu shots are still available and are free to retirees.
Retirees and spouses may get a flu shot (limited supply
available). Call the nurse in the IAA building at 557-2565 or in
the GE Road building at 821-2811 to schedule an appointment.
Vaccines for spouses are $30. We don’t bill Medicare or
insurance. Dependents of retirees are ineligible.

ABOUT OUR ART
Featuring artwork by Michele Peterson. The underlying theme
in Michele Peterson’s artwork is beauty, sensuality, feminine
sensibility, and a yearning for the higher. In her latest series
she paints vessels (bowls, cups, etc.)…empty containers
waiting to be filled. Other images come into play: patterns,
birds, patches of sky & landscape. At first glance, the paintings
appear as a myriad of thoughts passing through one’s head.
However, when taken as a whole, the imagery weaves
together to form a connecting thread that points to another
vision, another path.
Michele Peterson is Adjunct Professor of Arts & Humanities at
Heartland Community College. Her artwork is in public and
private collections in Bloomington/Normal, Chicago, and
Queensland, Australia. She is currently working on a book,
“Hidden Agendas: Symbolism in Italian & Northern Renaissance
Art.”

RETIREMENT
Susan McGuire will retire Nov. 30 from COUNTRY Financial
after serving 10 years with the organization. A reception will be
held that day from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the west conference
room on the third floor of the Customer Service Building.
McGuire began her career in 2002 in the Billing department.
She has since worked in the Cashier’s department and will
retire as a clerk in Accounts Payable.
During her retirement, McGuire plans to finish enjoying all of
the things on her bucket list.
There will be a memory book available for signing at the
reception.
Anyone planning to attend the reception and needing security
access should call the CSB receptionist at 821-2338 at least a
day in advance to add your name to the attendee list.
